Location:
Positioned between beaches and lookouts, nature-lovers will love everything about Burgess Beach. The beach itself is a secluded, sheltered beach hidden by vegetation and accessed by a steep path. Although it doesn't have the facilities of some of the larger beaches it’s a great spot for families, as it offers rock pools and small rock cave formations to explore.
Heading south, you’ll find Cape Hawke Lookout, a superb lookout offering wonderful bird-watching, a stunning vantage point to view whales migrating (at the right time of year), and a breathtaking view, spanning out as far as Barrington Tops and Crowdy Bay National Park on a clear day. Those rewards make it worth every step of the 500m hike.
