For the kids and kids at heart: Apart from the naturally provided activities of swimming, surfing, and fishing, there are numerous other activities to keep the kids entertained: 2 fun parks, surf schools, indoor heated swimming pool, canoe and aqua bike hire, horse riding, skate parks, tennis, squash, bowling and ten-pin bowling, movie theatre, mini golf and trampolines during school holiday period.

Golf: There are a number of unique and picturesque golf courses in the area catering to all levels from beginner to the more serious golfer. Choose from an award winning 28 hole championship course, the more traditional regional courses or a relaxed friendly hit in a bushland setting abundant with native wildlife. Courses are located at Tuncurry, Forster, Tallwoods and Sandbar, with a golf driving range/aqua golf facility also located at Tuncurry.

Boating: Spend a day cruising around our lakes, rivers and estuaries. There are numerous boat ramps for those who have their own boat and many boat hire facilities for those who dont.

Surfing: We have some of the best surfing beaches in NSW. Some of the well known beaches include: Boomerang beach, Blueys beach, Cellito, Seven Mile beach, Forster main beach, One Mile beach and Nine Mile beach in Tuncurry.

Walks: There are numerous walks in the area ranging from rainforest, to beach, flora and lakeside. Contact the Forster Visitor Centre on 6554 8799 or 1800 802692 for more information.

Dining out: A wide variety of dining out options are available, including top-class al a carte dining, economic family meals provided by the numerous clubs, Chinese, Thai, Italian and many great cafes providing tasty meals and great coffee.
We are also world-renowned for our fabulous Wallis Lake oysters.

Clubs: Offering all the usual club facilities are: Tuncurry Bowling Club, Forster Bowling Club (also has a tenpin bowling facility), Forster Golf Club, Club Forster (RSL), and Forster Tuncurry Sports Club.
