Forster Tuncurry are twin towns situated either side of the entrance to the fabulous Wallis Lake, one of the most natural and scenic water wonderlands in NSW.

Only 3 hours from Sydney, Forster Tuncurry has long been a popular holiday destination for families and holiday makers. The area boasts many fabulous beaches offering safe swimming, great surfing and fishing. The beautiful crystal clear waters of Wallis Lake provide many swimming, snorkelling, boating and fishing activities.

Forster main beach is centrally located near the CBD. It is a safe swimming beach, patrolled during peak holiday times, has a lovely bathing pool for the kids to play in and has beautiful views to the breakwall and to Tuncurry beach.

Tuncurry beach (Nine Mile) offers 4WD access (with a permit), great fishing and fabulous surfing. There is also a lovely rock pool for the kids at Tuncurry where you can enjoy a bite at the kiosk or a long stroll along the breakwall.

Pebbly beach is very close to Forster main beach. It has a nice picnic and play area nearby and also has ‘The Tanks’ a natural rock pool which provides great snorkelling.

One Mile beach, just a few minutes south of Forster’s town centre is a beautiful beach for the family, the surfer or the fisherman. Patrolled during holiday time and on weekends in summer it is also well known for the fabulous sand hill at the northern end where the kids can ‘sand surf’ to their hearts content.

Burgess beach is a smaller secluded beach just south of One Mile beach which offers great swimming, fishing and rock exploring.

Seven Mile beach, further south again, offers 4WD access (with permit) for great fishing and that magical uncrowded surf.

Wallis Lake has beautiful crystal clear waters making it great for swimming, snorkelling, fishing and boating. Try a walk across the Forster Tuncurry bridge joining the twin towns and enjoy the sights of the beautiful dolphins that inhabit the lake. It truly is a natural treasure.
